SANPURE® - Antimicrobial coating

The growth of bacteria and microorganisms on surfaces and their transmission to humans is a big risk in fields with special hygiene requirements. In this connection, even professional cleaning of the used materials is often not sufficient to effectively reduce the risk of infection.

Thanks to our antimicrobial coating SANPURE® surfaces are provided with a transparent, chemical-resistant and abrasion-proof layer system with a lasting, antimicrobial effect. This permanently prevents the formation of new bacteria and stems the continued growth of existing bacteria. The active agent of SANPURE® is nanosilver. A case study recently demonstrated: SANPURE® effectively improves the hygienic situation between cleaning cycles.

PROPERTIES OF SANPURE®:

  • reduces contamination due to dangerous pathogens by 50% within 20 minutes
  • optic and haptic properties of the coated door handles remain unchanged
  • maximum temperature load: 200 °C
  • film thickness from 150 up to 2,500 nm
  • active agent: agpure® nanosilver (trafficable according to the Biocides Directive, EU Regulation No. 528/2012, listed in Article 95, Annex II; CAS No. 7440-22-4)
  • lifelong antimicrobial effectiveness (significantly antimicrobial according to ISO 22196/JIS Z 2801:2010)
  • physiologically harmless (biocompatible according to DIN EN ISO 10993-5)
  • resistant to abrasion (according to DIN EN 60068-2-70; minimum 100,000 cycles)
  • scratch-resistant (scratch hardness according to DIN EN ISO 1518 up to 20 N; pencil hardness according to DIN EN ISO 15184 up to 10 H)
  • adhesion-proof (cross-cut test according to DIN EN ISO 2409)
  • chemically resistant to customary detergents and disinfection methods
  • transparent, individually coloured on request or proof of presence by fluorescence particles
  • mechanically flexible
  • reduces germ contamination between cleaning cycles even in the face of constant recontamination
